Cambodia Part ១ ( or 1 for those who don’t read Khmer)

I’m back home (not Home home but my Asian home. I was reminded of this distinction today when speaking to the bank about replacing my debit card and he asked if I wanted my new one mailed to my “Home Address”) for a while. As I wrote last week, I’ve been on the road move for just less than a month. I want to use this post to let you into some thoughts and observations I had during my stay in Cambodia, where I spent a week, and will try to not make it like a recap/review of my vacation.

It’s been a while.

As is to be expected, class schedules  over here are different than they are back in the states. While we were very fortunate to get Christmas and New Years off, they fell during the end of the fall semester. I wasn’t free from school until January 13. I was fortunate enough to have 2 weeks of vacation plus some other travelling over the past few weeks. Rest is important for everyone, and I’m super grateful for the chance to trade in the rain and cold for some sunshine and blue skies for a few weeks.
